If you found our site, it's likely because you're a healthcare marketing professional looking for an organization of like-minded peers to whom you can turn when resources are scarce and results matter.  If so, you've come to the right place -- just about all of us here felt the same as you before joining.  And we can help.  The Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ISHMPR) would like to extend you an invitation to join the leading state association dedicated to the education and advancement of professionals like you.  Up to seven people from each hospital can join on one membership, so dues are affordable and rewarding at the same time.   1. Annual Conference:  Held each Fall, this "must attend" conference features local and national speakers who discuss the must cutting-edge trends in healthcare PR and marketing.  Also, this is a great place to network with your peers.
  2. Networking:  It's always a smart business move to be able to put faces to names.  ISHMPR members not only know who works in our industry, but we also can pick up the phone and comfortably call other members.
  3. White Space eNewsletter:  Distributed monthly, these informative eblasts provide timely information about news, technology and issues related to Illinois healthcare marketers.
  4. Pinnacle Awards:  Our annual awards are judged by healthcare professionals from other states, so there are no politics involved here.  Instead, our Society whole-heartedly acknowledges and rewards those individuals and facilities whose work rises above the expected to communicate clearly, concisely and creatively their unique message.
  5. Webinars:  We conduct four webinars each year to provide a simple and cost-effective way for our members to learn the latest and greatest trends in marketing, PR and advertising.  Our topics cover everything from physician relations to social media and technology.
  6. News and Advertising Exposure:  Our site features a "What's News Around Illinois" and a "Member News Releases" section to help you spread your word effectively and efficiently to other healthcare professionals.  Plus, there are many different ways vendors can advertise their products or services to our members, whether they be online, in print, or at our events.
  7. Job Openings: When members are looking to fill a position, it only makes sense that they start with the association that's full of professionals.  And if you're looking for a job, what better place to find one than your own Society?
  8. Inside Healthcare Information:  ISHMPR is linked to various healthcare organizations, such as The American Hospital Association, so that we can spread valuable information as well as build support for causes that affect each of us directly.
  9. Private Members Only Area:  This section of our website gives you access to all our members.   Do you have a question about how a hospital handled their new facility marketing?  Find the right people here and reach out to them.  Are you looking for a recommendation on a vendor to help run advertising on the hospital's TV's?  Just ask.  Once you're a member, our membership is there for you to utilize.
  10. Fun:  All work and no play can be rather stressful -- especially in the healthcare industry.  Our Society is dedicated to helping you both professionally and personally.  So when you come to an event, expect to enjoy it.

You can register up to seven members from your organization and take advantage of all we have to offer for one low annual fee.  If you're from a healthcare system (multiple facilities), each facility must have its own membership.   For example, Acme Health System has five hospitals and three long-term care facilities; therefore, each organization (facility) must join separately and can have up to seven members included.
