Judging Event
Thursday-Friday, May 19-20, 2005
The Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations board of directors opted to change the traditional spring meeting into a different kind of educational and networking opportunity for its members and vendors.
We hope you’ll see the value in joining us in Peoria for a day-long event in which you’ll have the opportunity to truly examine the marketing and public relations work of our peers from Georgia. It will offer you insight into our own Pinnacle judging process and may help you when developing entries.
This year, our pinnacle entries are due by June 30. The earlier-than-normal deadline will help us plan an early fall meeting. We’ll have more details at the spring event and online.

We have a wonderful opportunity to learn from healthcare professionals in the Southern United States and examine what works in their markets by judging their marketing materials.
Each year, our Pinnacles’ committee looks for groups to judge our marketing and public relations work. This year, we’ve entered into a reciprocal agreement with Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations to judge its annual Target Awards competition.
Its competition is similar to ours. The judging is based on a set of criteria and is results driven. Each piece is critiqued by a team of three judges.
Join us for a day-long judging event May 20 in Peoria in which you and your peers will examine a wide and diverse group of marketing pieces from our healthcare friends in Georgia.
With help from all of us, we should be able to make short work of this important task.

Dress comfortably, leave your work behind and turn this judging event into a relaxing educational opportunity to learn from your peers.
We’ll be arriving at Stoney Creek Inn in East Peoria on Thursday, May 19, to get a jump start on the judging. We welcome your help and comradery Thursday night from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The more the merrier!
We’ll start at 8 a.m. Friday by dividing into teams of three. Indicate on the registration form your areas of interest and expertise.
There’s nothing like a free lunch.
Best news yet -- this event is free to you. Lunch and snacks will be provided. You’ll be responsible for your own hotel room should you decide to join us on Thursday night. A block of rooms will be held until April 22. Ask for the discounted ISHMPR rate of $70 for a standard room.
