Event Overview

Long gone are the days when all you needed to do to pull off a successful marketing campaign was throw a few ads together, write a well-placed press release and create catchy radio spots. Today, our consumers are inundated with marketing materials and have become much more savvy shoppers. They can glance at something and decide immediately whether to filter it in or out.

Let’s face it – it’s not as easy as it used to be. Join us at the fall Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations Society’s meeting to learn how to use the “new and improved Internet to e-market to your customers and how to convince your data-driven supervisors to take a giant step forward.

Quality information is publicly reported, yet consumers likely don’t understand. At our conference, “And the Winner Is...,” you’ll learn how one health system is leveraging its quality reports to educate and engage its customers.

And, you won’t want to miss our annual Pinnacle Awards presentation.

Steering the Avalanche: Building the business case for ehealth

All our organizations have websites, and if you’re lucky, your site has moved from the brochureware of the ‘90s to the interactive tools of today. For those still fighting the brochureware sites, you’re likely suffering from web envy. All you want is your organization’s website to be fresh, technologically up-to-date and competitive, but you’re not sure how to sell the ideas to those who distribute the money. Join us at the annual meeting and the first session of the day, “Making the Case for a Better Website.”

Patients increasingly want to interact with their care providers online, but convincing the leadership to move often takes more than consumer demand. Our session will look at the emerging 21st century health consumer and use this as a basis for building the business case for investment in online channels for communication and interaction.

Leveraging the Publication of Health Care Quality as a Marketing Strategy
