FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Northwest Community Hospital's Sheryl Keller recognized by the American Heart AssociationSheryl Keller, training center coordinator at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, was recently named to National Faculty status for the American Heart Association’s Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) programs As a National Faculty member, Keller is a senior technical expert for Basic Life Support (CPR) and a liaison between the national ECC program, volunteers, staff and the local ECC committees. In her new role, she will also oversee the implementation of the newest American Heart Association guidelines that will be rolled out to all American Heart Association CPR instructors in Illinois in 2006. Keller has been an employee of Northwest Community for 23 years where she is responsible for all hospital and community-based CPR and first-aid classes. She has been an active volunteer with the American Heart Association for many years, most recently serving as a Regional Faculty member for CPR. Keller also played an integral role in the CPR instructor training that occurred in Illinois in 2001. Northwest Community Hospital’s training center has more than 200 instructors teaching CPR to more than 3,000 people each year.
