Rush-Copley Medical Center Wins Web Site Awards
Rush-Copley Medical Center’s Web site has been honored with two
industry awards for excellence from the annual eHealthcare Leadership
Awards competition.
The medical center’s Web site, www.rushcopley.com, received the Gold Award for Best Employee Recruitment Web Site and a Silver Award for Best Intranet Site.
“I am proud that Rush-Copley’s efforts online have been
recognized,” said Barry C. Finn, president and CEO of Rush-Copley. “Our
Web site has been very effective in employee recruitment and
Rush-Copley’s intranet has proven to be an excellent communications
tool across the organization.”
The Employee Recruitment Award measures how well a site promotes
the advantages of working for the organization and how clear and easy
it is to review job openings and apply. The Best Intranet Site Award
focuses on how well an organization uses its internal network to
enhance employee productivity and satisfaction, as well as reduce
administrative costs and encourage employee usage.
More than 200 healthcare organizations received recognition for
their Web sites in Las Vegas during a healthcare Internet and
technology conference sponsored by Greystone.Net, an Atlanta-based
strategy firm in cooperation with the Chicago-based Forum for
Healthcare Strategists. The winners were chosen from a field of 1,200
entries encompassing 17 industry classifications, including hospitals
and health systems to pharmaceutical firms and online health companies.
There were 10 different award categories.
Judges based their decision on a multi-point standard of Internet
excellence, comparing Rush-Copley’s Web site to other similar
organizations.
“The huge number of entries and winners clearly indicates that
interest in e-healthcare and technology continues to expand, “ says
Mark Gothberg, eHealthcare Leadership Awards chairman. “Leading-edge
healthcare organizations are placing a great deal of focus on Web
features that support key service areas.”
Rush-Copley’s Web site provides visitors with many useful tools including:
- Live Web chats with physicians on a variety of medical topics.
- Comprehensive wellness information including up-to-date
healthcare news for those interested in learning more about medical
conditions, procedures and treatments.
- Registration for classes and workshops on various healthcare topics.
- Access for patients to view their statements and the ability for them to pay their medical bills online.
