Silver Cross Hospital Announces Employee Accomplishments and Promotions
Morris resident Mark Jepson was recently appointed to Vice President of
Human Resources at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. Jepson has served
as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources since 2004.
Minooka resident Pat Kroesch has been appointed the Manager of Same
Day Surgery and Endoscopy at Silver Cross Hospital. Kroesch recently
joined the Silver Cross team, coming from Northwestern Memorial
Hospital, where she was the Operating Room Manager.
New Lenox resident Jenny Williams has been appointed as Assistant
to the President at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. Williams has
served as an Administrative Assistant for the Chief Operating Officer
and three Vice Presidents for 22 of the 30 years she has been employed
with Silver Cross.
Rockdale resident Leslie Mackowiak was recently certified as an oncology nurse (OCN) at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Elwood resident Lisa Regis, Homer Glen resident Jessica Pappas, New
Lenox resident Kera Waseleski, Shorewood resident Jamie Johnson,
Braidwood resident Beth Beeding, Manhattan resident Kathleen Crafton,
Plainfield resident Maura Strawn, Manhattan resident Kristine Ramirez,
Bolingbrook resident Marcia Dixon, Park Forest resident Diane Irby,
Denise Juma, Joliet resident Brenda King, New Lenox resident Tina
O’Sullivan, Mokena resident Kathy Stoner, Shorewood resident Michelle
Alling and Joliet resident Sarah Strezo have passed the Basic EKG
Course at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet..
Manhattan resident Tammy Santangelo has been certified as a
Department of Transportation Specimen Collector by the Drug and Alcohol
Testing Industry Association. Santagelo is a counselor with Silver
Cross Hospital’s Chemical Dependency Services.
Plainfield resident Angela Bailey, New Lenox resident Paulette
Bowman, Frankfort resident Kristen Casner, Homer Glen resident Kathy
Copen, Joliet resident Mary Gallegos, Elwood resident Shirley Johnston,
Manhattan resident Mary Kinsella, Plainfield resident Jennifer Misch,
and Joliet resident Ellen Pavelek have passed the Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) course at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Lockport resident Maryanne Bedwell recently received
re-certification as a trauma nurse specialist at Silver Cross Hospital
in Joliet.
Lockport resident Maryanne Bedwell, Tinley Park resident Elizabeth
Gniady, Shorewood resident Beth Gromos, Manhattan resident Mary
Kinsella, and Crestwood resident Terry Skulavik recently completed the
Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) course at Silver Cross
Hospital
New Lenox resident Grace Connor and New Lenox resident Mary Beth
Bjekich have assumed responsibility as co-leaders in Silver Cross
Hospital’s Same Day Surgery Department.
Channahon resident Terry Fenton and Wilmington resident Shelane
Solt have passed the trauma nurse course at silver Cross Hospital.
Shorewood resident Beth Gromos, New Lenox resident Dianne Hensel
and Plainfield resident Jacki Owen have completed the Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) course at Silver Cross Hospital.
Elwood resident and Silver Cross Hospital employee Christena Sasser has passed the EKG program at Joliet Junior College.
Orland Park resident Theresa Quinn was appointed 2006 Chairman of
the Subcommittee on Access and Registration at the Metropolitan Chicago
Healthcare Council (MCHC). Quinn is the Director of Admitting and
Central Scheduling at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Joliet resident Annette Mattea, RN, MSN, has joined the Silver
Cross Hospital as Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist. Mattea
received her BSN from Rush University and her MSN from Loyola
University and has focused primarily on the care of the cardiovascular
patient throughout her nursing career. She has worked in a number of
clinical settings as staff nurse and functioned as the Research Nurse
Coordinator for the
Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Program at Rush. She served as
a consultant for the development of the Heart Assist Device Program at
Edward Hospital and most recently as Assistant Professor in the College
of Nursing and Allied Health at the University of St. Francis in
Joliet.
