Rush-Copley named to AARP to 50 employers list

Today, Rush-Copley Medical Center was named to AARP’s 2007 50 Best Employers for Workers Over 50 List.

Rush-Copley is one of six Illinois-based companies being recognized for its outstanding policies and practices relating to 50 plus workers. The medical center is the only community hospital named to list in Illinois this year.

“Rush-Copley is honored to be selected as one of AARP’s 2007 50 Best Employers for Workers Over 50,” said Barry C. Finn, president and CEO of Rush-Copley. “This award demonstrates the medical center’s exemplary practices in recruitment, retention and promotion of older workers.”

Award candidates undergo extensive review prior to final selections. Key areas of consideration include: recruiting practices; opportunities for training, education and career development; workplace accommodations; alternative work options, such as flexible scheduling, job sharing, and phased retirement; employee health and pension benefits; retiree benefits; and age diversity of the workforce.

Rush-Copley will be honored by AARP at a dinner in New York City on September 26. For more information, visit rushcopley.com
