FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Sherman Hospital Physician Satisfaction Score Jumps from 51st to 93rd PercentileELGIN, IL – Sherman Hospital is excited to announce results from the 2007 Physician Satisfaction survey conducted by Press Ganey, the healthcare industry leader in satisfaction measurement and improvement. Sherman’s overall physician satisfaction score rose this year from the 51st to the 93rd percentile, an amazing increase in one year. Sherman's survey results were compared to 305 like-sized hospitals throughout the nation and over 52,000 physicians in the Press Ganey database. With an overall mean score of 79.3, Sherman was placed in the 93rd national percentile rank. "Moving from the 51st to the 93rd percentile is an extraordinary leap in one year," said Rick Floyd, President & CEO. "It is a result of the efforts of physicians and the Sherman team working together over the past year making necessary changes so we’re a great place for physicians to bring their patients." Sherman surveys its medical staff every year to gauge their opinions of hospital quality and efficiency, and to spotlight administrative concerns. In turn, Sherman can address the issues and opportunities suggested and provide a better place for physicians to practice medicine. Key highlights from this year's survey include:
