FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center Announces Board of Directors New Members and ChangesProvena Saint Joseph Medical Center announces three new appointments and additional changes to the Board of Directors. New to the Board are Joseph Kirkeeng, Thomas Moore, MD and Michael Steward. John Walsh, MD will also be serving as Ex-Officio as the 2009 Medical Staff President. Mr. Kirkeeng is currently Executive Vice President- Community Banking for Suburban Bank & Trust and an active member of the community serving in leadership roles for a number of organizations, including Lewis University Council of Regents and MG Racers Benevolent Fund Board Member. Dr. Moore is currently a pediatrician and owns a private practice in Shorewood, IL. He has served on various community board including Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center and Joliet Region I.P.A. Board of Directors. Mr. Steward is currently Deputy County Treasurer for the Office of the Will County Treasurer, Pat McGuire. Mr. Steward is very involved in various volunteer capacities including Kiwanis Club of Joliet, University of St. Francis Brother 2 Brother Advisory Board and Director of the Joliet Park District Foundation Board of Directors. “We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Kirkeeng, Dr. Moore and Mr. Steward to our Board of Directors," said Jeffrey Brickman, FACHE, System Senior Vice President and Regional CEO of the Provena Southwest Suburban Region. “These additions will further strengthen our Board." The 2009 Board of Directors will be under the leadership of Mr. Bob Wysocki, Chairman, Mr. Ed Dollinger, Vice Chairman and Ms. Lyndean Brick, JD, Secretary. The administration and staff of Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center recognize with great appreciation three board members for their dedication and service on the board whose leadership terms are expiring: Brother James Gaffney, FSC, Thomas Kron, MD, and Frank Turk, Jr. We would also like to recognize Mark Hanson , outgoing Chairman of the Board, who will be leaving the board to accept a leadership position as a board member for Provena Health System. “The entire Medical Center is indebted to these outstanding Board members,” said Brickman. “We have been blessed by their leadership and the entire community has benefited by their stewardship.” |
