FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PSJMC Welcomes Director of Marketing and Community RelationsJan Ciccarelli is the new Director of Marketing and Community Relations at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center (PSJMC) in Joliet. In this role, she is responsible for building community preference for the increasingly complex medical services now available in the southwest suburbs through PSJMC's expert medical staff and convenient network of over 20 locations. Most recently, Ciccarelli was the Director of Marketing Communications at Loyola University Health System, an academic medical center headquartered in Maywood. In that capacity, she garnered a number of awards including Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards; Astrid and Hermes Creative Awards; Apex Grand Awards; Healthcare Marketing Report Gold and Communicators' Crystal Awards of Excellence. Previously, she held similar positions at Harza, and international engineering firm located in Chicago, and at Castrol North America, a manufacturer then housed in Downers Grove. She began her career working in city government and as a newspaper reporter. Ciccarelli has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing; she also is accredited in Public Relations. Leadership is determined to focus on growth and continued excellence in patient care," commented the new PSJMC director. "We conducted a lengthy search before selecting the right candidate for the position, and we are pleased Jan will be helping our ministry increase the region's access to increasingly complex and specialized medical programs, previously only available downtown. Ciccarelli is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. Located in Will County, one of the fastest growing regions in the nation, Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center provides many advanced health-care services typically found in a university hospital setting. Through a partnership with the University of Illinois at Chicago, PJSMC is the only provider of neurosurgical services in the Will-Grundy region. The Saint Joseph Heart Center is an entire floor dedicated to the treatment of the heart and centered on the area's only open-heart surgery program. PSJMC serves the community's wide-range of health-care needs through its Level II Emergency/Trauma Center, accredited Stroke Center; accredited Chest Pain Center; Family Birthing Suites, High-Risk Pregnancy and intensive Neonatal Services, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, accredited Rehabilitation Services, Mental Health Services, and the Sister Theresa Cancer Care Center. A new eight-story patient tower, featuring private patient rooms and special amenities, provides an environment designed to promote family-centered care and enhance clinical outcomes. Services extend far beyond the main campus through 22 outpatient centers located across the region, offering primary care, imaging, physical therapy, sleep diagnostics, wound therapy and immediate care. The 480-bed facility is the flagship of Mokena, Illinois-based Provena Health, a not-for-profit, Catholic health system sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary and Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Provena Health includes six hospitals, 16 long-term/residential facilities, five home care agencies and numerous clinics in the Collar Counties and East-Central Region of Illinois. |
