Silver Cross Hospital Wins State Marketing Awards

The Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ISHMPR) honored marketing, public relations and communications professionals from across the state at its 2009 Annual Conference and Pinnacle Awards Presentation. The meeting was held Nov. 13 at the Illinois Hospital Association Offices in Naperville and Springfield via tele-conferencing. Silver Cross Hospital received five Pinnacle Awards.

Each year ISHMPR sponsors the Pinnacle Awards to recognize excellence and achievement in healthcare marketing and public relations. This year's program included more than 125 entries in 25 project categories submitted by 40 hospitals and healthcare systems from across the state. Entries were judged by the Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations on their own merit in accordance with established criteria for project planning, implementation and overall results.

"The winning Pinnacle Award entries demonstrate a true dedication to quality and pride in project work," said Jim McRoberts, ISHMPR President.

The Silver Cross Marketing Department was recognized with the following awards:

  • Award of Merit: Integrated Marketing Campaign Category for the I Matter Program
  • Award of Merit: Advertising Campaign Category for the Silver Cross Health Center Homer Glen Advertising Campaign
  • Award of Merit: Community Newsletter Category for Silver Cross Experience
  • Award of Merit: Special Events Category for the Silver Cross Replacement Hospital Groundbreaking Celebration
  • Honorable Mention: Writing Category for Margie Woods: Hospital Partner & Heroin Improving Joliet's eastside.

"This year's judges were most impressed with the variety of work accomplished by our members, along with the level of skill in presentation and the benefits accrued by Illinois healthcare organizations through implementation of the projects," McRoberts said.
