Blagojevich signs Illinois Hospital Assessment Program

The state’s hospitals and other health care providers will receive a substantial boost in critically needed Medicaid funding under a bill recently signed into law by Governor Rod Blagojevich. The Hospital Assessment Program (SB157) will provide Illinois hospitals million a year and the state million a year for other health care needs over the next three years – for a total of .8 billion in new federal Medicaid dollars.
