Charting hospital performance
What characteristics make a hospital great? Two reports using data from the Web site CalHospitalCompare.org have surprising findings: Of 30 hospital attributes examined, no major category, including financial health, was determined to be an independent driver of clinical performance or improvement. This suggests that all hospitals can become high performers by implementing effective practices.
