The 2011 ISHMPR Nominations Committee is seeking your involvement in our annual nominations process. Between now and Oct. 31, I'd like to encourage you to nominate a colleague or yourself for the 2012 ISHMPR Board of Directors. We are seeking nominations for two director positions. The committee is looking for members who can lead ISHMPR in providing its membership with networking opportunities and knowledge sharing among healthcare marketing and communications professionals across Illinois.
A prospective ISHMPR Board member should anticipate a time commitment of one on-site planning meeting a year, monthly Board conference calls, participation in at least one committee and participation in the Society's Annual Conference. This time commitment should be taken into account if you decide to nominate yourself, nominate a colleague, or accept a nomination made on your behalf.
In determining the slate that will be presented to the membership at our Annual Conference on Nov. 8, the Committee will use criteria developed by the Board of Directors, including experience, leadership ability, ISHMPR involvement, healthcare affiliation, and appropriate representation of the disciplines and geography encompassed in our membership.
